Description Marian Klein 2008-05-01 17:40:01 UTC
I am trying to install the FreeBSD7.0/i386 on the top of x86_64 architecture in the qemu emulator. (for some reason the x86_64 version does not work in qemu, why?) It takes ages and I don't know how long time it will take.

I want percentage and elapsed time/estimated time progress bar.

State Changed
From-To: open->suspended

Mark suspended awaiting patches.
Marian: I doubt we'll ever see a progress bar with the old installer.
Your qemu problem seems to be more of interest ;)
Do you have the kernel accelerator, which increases speed of the guest system, installed?

The progress bar thing isn't happening. The qemu bits are worth noting =
though. If you're still having problems with qemu, please let us know.=
