splash(4) refers to the non-existant loader.rc(5) man page, and has an
example using the old loader(8) syntax instead of the newer
loader.conf(5) file.

Fix: 

If I had time to fix it right now, I'd have fixed it instead of open a
PR (opening a PR probably is taking more time, minus the fact that I'd
have to reboot...).
