Bug 13089

Summary: sysinstall repeatedly installs a distribution file
Product: Base System Reporter: Adam Wight <adamw>
Component: miscAssignee: jkh
Status: Closed FIXED
Severity: Affects Only Me
Priority: Normal
Version: 4.0-CURRENT
Hardware: Any
OS: Any

Description Adam Wight 1999-08-12 04:50:01 UTC
Any time I install a distribution set, compat22 gets installed. This
is only a minor inconvenience at this point--although when I originally
installed off floppies it was horrible--but it should be fixed.

When I have time I'll look into this.

How-To-Repeat: Install an X distribution file by ftp.

Behavior is intentional to support some old X applications. (Netscape, anyone?)
