When trying to debug a program linked against libthr on ppc I see the error:

Cannot get thread event message: generic error
(gdb)

How-To-Repeat: gdb any threaded program on ppc

devel/gdb can debug threaded programs on powerpc.  Base gdb can debug threaded programs on powerpc64.  Since base gdb will likely be removed in the not too distant future, closing this.
