VM maintenance was handed over in 2007...

Since then, it was updated from the last Kyle Jones release (7.19) to
various 8.0.* releases now at 8.0.12 and is kept on savannah.

See the NEWS file in the distribution tarball for all the fixes
and improvements.

Attached is a patch to update the port to the latest stable
savannah release.
