It's hard to see such error when compiling a port. 
Moreover, no useful information has been submitted.

The following was installed in the following order.

lang/php5 -> php runs from command line no problem with the suhosin  
patch
archivers/php5-bz2 -> php runs from command line no problem
archivers/php5-zip -> php runs from command line no problem
archivers/php5-zlib -> php runs from command line no problem
converters/php5-iconv -> php runs from command line no problem
converters/php5-mbstring -> php runs from command line no problem
databases/php5-dbase -> php runs from command line no problem
databases/php5-mysql -> php exists with the following error:
ALERT - canary mismatch on efree() - heap overflow detected (attacker  
'REMOTE_ADDR not set', file 'unknown')
