man rc.conf, go to the mdconfig section. No entry given how those devices
should pop up automagically.

Fix: 

Put into the documentation:

_mdconfig_list

The list of mdconfig devices, which should be mounted before mounting the critical local filesystems

_mdconfig2_list

The list of mdconfig devices, which should be mounted after mounting the remote filesystems

Please refer to conf/122477 for a patch that does what you want.

the other mdconfig rc.d bugs because the issues are the same (the one
