Bug 147446

Summary: lang/gawk built with NLS broken after devel/gettext upgrade
Product: Ports & Packages Reporter: TerryP <BigBoss1964>
Component: Individual Port(s)Assignee: Ade Lovett <ade>
Status: Closed FIXED
Severity: Affects Only Me
Priority: Normal
Version: Latest
Hardware: Any
OS: Any

Description TerryP 2010-06-03 21:10:01 UTC
When built with NLS, gawk depends on gettext. However it wasn't upgraded during a recent portmaster upgrade of gettext and dependencies!

This is a bit more serious since configure scripts can pop corks over gawk screeching about a missing libintl.so.8

Fix:

bump PORTVERSION on gawk.
How-To-Repeat: build lang/gawk with NLS with a version of devel/gettext from before the 20100530 bumps; then upgrade devel/gettext and run gawk.

As with security/gnutls (ports/147448), lang/gawk correctly defines
USE_GETTEXT=yes in the NLS case, and had its PORTREVISION bumped on the
gettext update, so I'm not sure what's going on here.

Seems that the problem doesn't exist, or at the very least is highly
non-repeatable, so closing after a month in feedback.
