vm-8.1.0 was released in March.

Lots of changes.  Recently the project has become quite
a bit more active.  Some changes:
 - lots of imap improvements
 - support for reading and replying to messages in HTML.
 - pgp support (not on by default - needs "(require 'vm-pgg)")
 - a few knobs have changed names (e.g., vm-mime-show-alternatives)
 - beginnings of thunderbird mbox support
 - thumbnail image/pdf preview
 - see NEWS for more
