From another system, issue ftp command to netlab1, issue username and
password for legitimate user on netlab1.  Initiate transfer of a tar.gz
file to netlab1.  Ftp stalls after 1% or 2% of file transfered.  File
size was just under 1MB.  Ftp initiated from FreeBSD 3.2, FreeBSD 3.1,
NetBSD 1.3.x with same result every time.

Netlab1 is inside a 10.7.0.0/16 network with NAT (fixed mapping) to
outside network (141.210.0.0/16).  Fails whether initiating system is
inside or outside.

Fix: 

None known
How-To-Repeat: Fails EVERY attempt.  Finally had to use floppy to transfer the file.
Fails with oter files also.  Fails every time.

are you still seeing the same problems in recent versions of freebsd? 
a lot has changed in ftp/fetch since 3.3-RELEASE.
