Description rip 1999-12-06 16:00:00 UTC
Xfstt thats in the ports contains several bugs that under certain cercumstances will cause it to thrash the drive continuesly forcing a hard reboot.

Fix:

update the port to use version 1.0, I tried contacting the port maintainer, but the mail bounced:

jabley@clear.co.nz on Tue, 7 Dec 1999 03:37:34 +1300
The recipient name is not recognized

I changed the port, it now uses version 1.0 and would like to request that I be made maintainer for this port.

My port works perfectly, portlint finds nothing wrong with it, but ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/incoming doesnt exist so I can submit it for your approval
How-To-Repeat: difficult to say, it seems to relate to fonts that doesnt make sence to Xfstt,
from the CHANGES file:

1.0
Fix: illegal encodings causes xfstt to run away
FIX: now attempts to unlink unix socket on exit
Fix for BSD (was making Zombies - Thanks David Lowe)
Changed some types for clean compile
Added some Documentation to the FAQ

The usual submission method is to attach it to a PR like this one.
