         Attempts to write a "write-protected" floppy will cause the system
         to hang.

How-To-Repeat:          Insert a floppy with the write-protect on and do:
 
         tar cf /dev/fd0 /etc/motd

Does this problem still occur in newer versions of FreeBSD, 
such as 4.3-RELEASE?
