From casual browsing of bsd.sites.mk all the ftp.dti.ad.jp sites mentioned there are still around, so it looks like xearth has been dropped. You have a few mirrors there though, so perhaps you could just chop those out and stick with the five or so you already have? In bsd.sites.mk: MASTER_SITE_XCONTRIB+= \ *skip* ftp://ftp.dti.ad.jp/pub/X/XFree86/mirror/X.Org/contrib/%SUBDIR%/ \ the "mirror" sub-directory is not found on that server. I get 550 /pub/X/XFree86/mirror/X.Org/contrib/applications/xearth-1.1.tar.gz: No such file or directory. 550 /pub/X/XFree86/mirror/: No such file or directory. Fix: Remove ftp.dti.ad.jp from MASTER_SITE_XCONTRIB
