Summary: [install] 9.0 - Can't install, no DHCP lease

Description Donald Steven 2012-01-19 04:40:10 UTC
Environment: This is a machine that has no problems with networking. Not only does Windows and every flavor of Linux work just fine, but FreeBDS 7.3 and 8.2 also install and run fine.

Network: Ethernet is on nfe1

When I try to install 9.0 (using any media: dvd, cd and even PC-BSD), they all fail when trying to acquire a DHCP lease. The system simply hangs and the install can't proceed.

Fix:

None
How-To-Repeat: Every time, the installation hangs.

Does this still occur on newer versions of FreeBSD?
