Summary: HP-UX manual pages are mangled

Description vhaisman 2012-03-29 18:00:39 UTC
The manual pages hosted by freebsd.org for HP-UX seem somehow mangled/broken. E.g., <http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=setsockopt&apropos=0&sektion=0&manpath=HP-UX+11.22&arch=default&format=html>. This page does not contain any of the useful information like function signatures and types. Also later in the text of the page there is this:

boolean ) Returns a non-zero value if socket lis-
tening is enabled, otherwise returns a
				       zero value.

This makes no sense at all.

Fix:

Wish I knew.
How-To-Repeat: Visit pretty much any HP-UX man page.

I'm not sure I understand the problem. Is this manual page different
than that of the HP-UX manual (installed with HP-UX)?

The HP manual pages are provided as it is. We do not have the resources to fix bugs in legacy man pages from 3rd part vendors. Sorry!
