Responsible Changed From-To: gnats-admin->freebsd-bugs Misfiled PR. Responsible Changed From-To: freebsd-bugs->jhb I think that jhb might be able to check this one out. I seem to recall that running with a USB only system is now supported. > Synopsis: booting install disk and USB > > Responsible-Changed-From-To: freebsd-bugs->jhb > Responsible-Changed-By: nra > Responsible-Changed-When: Thu Jul 20 19:56:45 PDT 2000 > Responsible-Changed-Why: > I think that jhb might be able to check this one out. We are already working on fixing this and will definitely have it fixed by 5.0 and quite possibly sooner. If you have a Intel UHCI USB controller, then I expect that 4.2 will install out of the box on your system with the legacy USB support enabled. -- John Baldwin <jhb@bsdi.com> Have you had a chance to try more recent versions of FreeBSD such as 4.8 or 4.9? -- John Baldwin <jhb@FreeBSD.org> <>< http://www.FreeBSD.org/~jhb/ "Power Users Use the Power to Serve!" - http://www.FreeBSD.org/ State Changed From-To: open->closed Feedback timeout (8 months). |
