I wanted to report additionally that the image I used was the bootonly image. Netinst is Debian speak, and one of those was next in the file list, and I erroneously looked at that. Additionally, if I unselect all options, to do the 9.1 equiv of a minimal install, I get to 98% of base and it just stops. Brian ----- End forwarded message ----- I am also seeing this issue with 9.1 RC2 amd64 using the network install cd image. I tried disabling IPv6; I also tried bridged instead of NAT for the network connection. In either scenario I get 98% of base and am then done. A tcpdump I ran showed a fin for an ftp-data download, and then some unresponded to arp requests. Brian FreeBSD 9.1 RC3 with Virtualbox, which was just upgraded to 4.2.4 still exhibits the problem. State Changed From-To: open->closed submitter notes this was a local problem. ----- Forwarded message from Brian <brian@brianwhalen.net> ----- Date: Fri, 07 Dec 2012 16:13:31 -0800 From: Brian <brian@brianwhalen.net> To: freebsd-amd64@freebsd.org Subject: Re: amd64/171016: Install of 9.1 RC1-amd64 using netinst iso stops at 97% of base I just tried again, and due to either an isp change on my side (megapath dsl to ATT Uverse) or some other change on the freebsd server side, this is now working.
