I'm the maintainer of editors/uemacs.

Please add "MAKE_JOBS_SAFE=yes" to the port.

The other changes referenced in this PR are no longer needed.

Now the port has a new maintainer and it looks good as well as works 
properly. This patch is not more necessary.
