Description Remko Catersels 2012-11-19 15:20:00 UTC
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/

Produces an error:

Error: No valid CVS roots found! See @CVSrepositories in the configuration file (/usr/local/www/www.freebsd.org/data/cgi/cvsweb.conf).

cvsweb is easier to use than svnweb (easier to compare different releases/versions). Freshports also refers to cvsweb.

Please see http://www.freebsd.org/news/2012-compromise.html .

We are bringing machines back online when we can. The problem with
the CVS infrastructure is that a plan was already in place to move
away from it early next year. (In particular, the svn->cvs importer
is fragile and requires constant maintenance.) So, bringing the CVS-
related machines back online is a lower priority for now.

I'm sure that this is not the news that you wanted to hear. But, cvs
is the "wave of the past" for FreeBSD.
