Description kokg 2000-04-19 15:00:01 UTC
I recently upgraded some of our FreeBSD printservers from 2.2.[56]-RELEASE
to 4.0-RELEASE, and now I'm experiencing random crashes on all ten of them, about
once every week. Usually there's nothing in the logs, but today the following
message:
Apr 19 15:18:35 prugna /kernel: panic: lockmgr: pid 81526, not exclusive lock ho
lder 81492 unlocking
Apr 19 15:18:35 prugna /kernel:
Apr 19 15:18:35 prugna /kernel: syncing disks... panic: getnewbuf: locked buf
Apr 19 15:18:35 prugna /kernel: Uptime: 7d2h52m19s
Apr 19 15:18:35 prugna /kernel: Automatic reboot in 15 seconds - press a key on
the console to abort
Apr 19 15:18:35 prugna /kernel: Rebooting...

Fix:

Not known.
How-To-Repeat: Just wait ;) (I haven't figured out a way yet to immediately trigger the bug).
