If "af=" field not set in /etc/printcap,
run /usr/sbin/pac will get core dumped

NOTE: this problem exists in every version of FreeBSD

Thanks for the patch. We've committed something similar ot -current 
and I'll merge it before 4.3 is released if all goes well.
