Quick and dirty color branding of bugzilla

The FreeBSD project uses a unique branding scheme to be easily distinguished and recognized by users. The bug tracker should feature the same design as the web pages on FreeBSD.org for at least

* font usage (font family, size, weight schemes)
* colors (background, text, etc.)

A quick and dirty approach (see the attached screenshot) might accomplish this with minimal effort using bugzilla's skin capabilities.

Since the skins are merely CSS files, a loss in functionality would not occur on future updates of the used bugzilla version.

I'll happily volunteer to adjust the CSS as necessary.

I'm sure Eitan is going to hate me, but I kinda like this.

See bug #customtemplates for some more details. I like this idea but "quick and dirty, temporary hacks" is exactly what we are trying to avoid at the moment.

First of all, the quick and dirty solution was just an outline that it can be done with minimal effort and almost no impact (the changes were done in 15 minutes). This is not meant to be a final implementation.

Secondly, custom templates should not be a blocker, since they are not related to the skins (or you mean something different with custom templates than the bugzilla documentation). Custom skins, in contrast to custom templates, are simply dropped into the skins folder, without changing any functionality.

I just read comment 2 of bug 190518 again, so please ignore my rant about templates vs. skins.

Let me know, if I can assist with the skins, once the customization process is rolled out.

Simple FreeBSD CSS to be placed into skins/contrib

Find attached a simple skin that can be unpacked into skins/contrib.
Once there, users can select the "FreeBSD" skin instantly, which changes colors, the base font, some font sizes and the layout of input elements to what is used on FreeBSD.

I did not change the colors of the three icons on the homepage, since I could not find any license information on those. I would assume them to be MPLed and am not sure, if we want to change their color scheme.

A FreeBSD CSS skin was rolled out as default template for addressing the widest range of users. Depending on the immediate feedbaack the next couple of days, improvements to the basic CSS will be made or it will be reverted to think about a better integration approach.

The bug will be kept open for another few days.

Looks, like the majority of people do not complain about the changed look.
