With GNATS, when a PR was sent to a mailing list, the From: field was set to the submitter's address. Now, with Bugzilla, it is always set to bz-noreply@freebsd.org. When you read a mailing list like freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org, every line seems a duplicate, and it's less readable. Would it be possible to set the From: field back to the submitter's address? This seems to be standard (and only?) behavior in any instance of Bugzilla I've been using over the last 10+ years. This does not mean it cannot be changed, it just indicates that this may be hard to change and/or people have been doing this by design. This behavior is built-in feature of the Bugzilla software. I'm afraid bugmeister@ team doesn't have enough resources to maintain custom modification of this scale. |
