Having looked at this again today, I would just make bugs.freebsd.org point directly at bugzilla. I think the bugzilla front page is clearer and more useful than the current page that bugs.freebsd.org points at. I agree. We can also add some general information on the bugzilla landing page if desired, including links to https://www.freebsd.org/support.html or https://www.freebsd.org/support/bugreports.html. This will likely need to be changed in collaboration with our varnish administrators (clusteradm@ ?) A copy of the current config (entries related to bugzilla) would be handy to determine what the current state is and any caveats that need to be considered. @sbruno, can you create a a separate issue for homepage templates/changes you'd like to see please. We (I) have a few things in mind for this space as well, so it would be good to track them together. looks like bugs.freebsd.org now sends a 302 redirect to /bugzilla/ Looks like this was fixed recently. This issue is about the issue tracker's root url not including the /bugzilla/ suffix Hmm, as the person who opened the bug, I just wanted 'bugs.freebsd.org' to go to bugzilla (which it now does). I didn't really care about the 'bugzilla' bit in the URL. :) (In reply to John Baldwin from comment #7) Ah! :) (In reply to John Baldwin from comment #7) I suppose I got confused by: "Or alternatively, make bugs.freebsd.org point directly to bugzilla." (In reply to Kubilay Kocak from comment #9) I was just suggesting possible implementations is all. Do you still want this open (i.e. does bugmeister want to eventually trim /bugzilla/ from all the URLs) or can we close this? In theory it might be nice to have no additional directory but beauty's sake but we'll likely never do this. In addition, having a directory structure gives some theoretical flexibility. The original request was resolved. Closing. |
