There is no facility under the Preferences => Account Information to change or update the email address associated with the account.

In the relevant Bugzilla help documentation, http://www.bugzilla.org/docs/4.4/en/html/userpreferences.html, this functionality should be available under the "Name and Password" section, which I believe has been renamed to "Account Information".

It would also be nice to give users the ability to remove their accounts if desired.

You can enter a new email address under Preferences -> Account Information using the input field "New email address:" next to the submit button.

We will not delete accounts, but users can request us to disable them.

If you have any trouble to change your mail address, please provide us some screenshots for further investigation.

The "New email address" does not exist in my account info section, please see attached screenshot.

I just tested it with another account and can't reproduce your problem. Is it okay for you, if I impersonate your account to track down that issue?

Unfortunately there are no obvious pointers to why the mail change does not work for you. We'll investigate this, but it may take a couple of days. If you need to change your address urgently, please register a new account with it and we will merge your old account into it.

Can you check again, if the fields are now visible to you?

Yes the field is visible now and I was able to change my email address successfully, thank you.
