The messages in dmesg and /var/log/messages are warnings from WITNESS, but they do not show any crash messages. Are you sure it is a 'gdb' prompt and not a 'db>' prompt? Please reopen if you still have this issue. |
Created attachment 154469 [details] uname - messages log - dmesg When I start Xorg with startx, I while I wait for previous programs to start I get a crash. Been happening for a few builds now. (Randomly happens, About once every two weeks using laptop 10 out of 14 days). After crash Xorg will exit out and I will be at gdb prompted. I'm not a c programmer so I'm not sure about debugging with gdb. I simply type "reboot". On reboot laptop has not boot partition. I have to do a hard reset with the power button for the laptop to come back on. I have attached my logs: uname -a /var/log/messages (with gdb syscall) dmesg (right after hard reset is done) Let me know if you want me to try a diff or new kernel build. If someone has some gdb command I should run next time let me know.
