Tell portmaster(8) to use a different port when it encounters mate-calc: -o _new port dir in /usr/ports_ _installed port_ replace the installed port with a port from a different origin It's from the man pages. --Chris PM has a new maintainer, reassign PR. Fernando, since this ticket is old i assume, that you already fixed the problem. The correct solution was already suggested: using the -o option. I did a test for your case by checking out an old source-tree and build math/mate-calc. After an update to the newest version i could reproduce your problem. The following statement fixes your problem and make the update processing correctly: portmaster -o math/galculator math/mate-calc So this is not a bug; therefore i am closing this Ticket.
