Description Rob Belics 2015-08-06 15:56:13 UTC
Gimp program opens and many of the tools appear to work but if I try to open an image file with File > Open, Gimp hangs and I must ctrl-C to get it to close. Gimp starts with this in the console:

GEGL-geglmodule.c-Message: Module '/usr/local/lib/gegl-0.2/ff-load.so' load error: /usr/local/lib/gegl-0.2/ff-load.so: Undefined symbol "av_read_packet"

I forgot to add this is on FreeBSD-RELEASE-9.3
Comment 2 John Hein 2015-08-06 17:33:50 UTC
Can you update devel/glib20 to r393663 and report back whether you still have the problem? See also bug 202128.
Comment 3 Rob Belics 2015-08-07 12:40:01 UTC
Unfortunately I had some other problems which I felt would be fixed by updating to version 10.1 and I'm in the process of doing that now. glib will be updated, of course, but I'll report back if it works in this version if that still helps.
Comment 4 Rob Belics 2015-08-07 15:03:10 UTC
And now, for what it's worth, I've upgraded to RELEASE-10.1, and gimp is working fine.
Comment 5 John Hein 2015-08-07 15:41:36 UTC
Presumably with glib-2.44.1_1, right? Feel free to close the bug.
Comment 6 Rob Belics 2015-08-07 16:03:27 UTC
Yes, glib-2.44.1_1. I'll close the bug. Thanks.
