Days ago I experienced the following problem

because on webpage [1] there are no infos about obligation to enable dbus service in order to let KDE working correctly.

KDE also needs hald service.

I have a system running KDE with no hald.

It's not mandatory, unlike dbus, but it's desirable. hald is still the only backend for Solid (KDE hardware device framework) supported on FreeBSD.
