ifconfig output after loading ifconfig
Hi Neel, A few months ago a change was commuted to FreeBSD 11 current that meant the "parent" wifi devices would not show in ifconfig output. To see the list of wireless devices available on your FreeBSD 11 machine, type: $ sysctl net.wlan.devices Once you know what devices are available, you must create a wlan clone device, exactly the same as you have previously (follow instructions in the handbook and man pages as per normal). If you confirm this is your only problem, and everything else is working ok, please respond and also close this bug report. Good luck! -Ben (In reply to Ben Woods from comment #2) Thank You! I got the WiFI working now. The only thing I need is Broadwell kernel mode setting now, but I could live without accelerated graphics support (at least I have a good CPU). That's good news - glad to hear it is all working for you. Can you please close this bug report by changing the status to CLOSED and selection an appropriate reason? |
