The release notes report a release date of december 28th, but the source code only became available yesterday.
Attached patch updates thunderbird, thunderbird-i18n and linux-thunderbird.
The embedded Lightning got bumped, too.

The release notes state that the only difference to 38.5.0 is using SHA-256 on Windows. FreeBSD actually is not based on Windows in any way, so there's no reason to update the port and cause rebuilds for people using ports :)
