Bug 21025

Summary: BTX loader 1.00 gets 1Gb of memory from BIOS instead of 56Kb
Product: Base System Reporter: kositsyn <kositsyn>
Component: miscAssignee: msmith
Status: Closed FIXED
Severity: Affects Only Me
Priority: Normal
Version: 4.1-RELEASE
Hardware: Any
OS: Any

Description kositsyn 2000-09-04 14:30:01 UTC
When booting from installation diskettes ACER BIOS shows following:
Base Memory : 640 KB
Extended Memory : 56320 KB
while BTX loader shows another picture:
BIOS 639kB/1070100kB available memory
And when the loader starts kernel PC's screen flashes several times and machine reboots. While the screen is flashing I can see a part of 'To many holes at ... memory' message.
My older FreeBSD boot loader shows following and everything worked well

Fix:

Nope :(
How-To-Repeat: Every try to install the system.

Is this still an issue with a recent release >= 4.6?
