Since I've found what I assume is a bug in nscd, I follow note in nscd man, which says (https://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=nscd&apropos=0&sektion=0&manpath=FreeBSD+11-current&arch=default&format=html):

Thanks for the email. I have indeed authored the initial version of nscd, but I'm not maintaining the project since 2008.

seems as a reason to reconsider content or existence of BUGS section in nscd man.
