State Changed From-To: open->feedback I agree that we should update the documentation to make this more apparent. I will look into this. Hopefully with help from the originator. Responsible Changed From-To: freebsd-bugs->murray I'll look at this. I agree that this is confusing and I remember spending some time
figuring out what I needed to pass to ifconfig the first time that I
setup FreeBSD through PLIP. Do you have some suggested text to add to
one of the help screens? Can you please supply a diff or something of
what exactly we should add to make it easier?

State Changed From-To: analyzed->closed A fix has been added to -STABLE. This change will be present in the upcoming FreeBSD 4.5. Thanks for your problem report!
