NetBSD 1.6 was released in 2002 according to http://www.netbsd.org/releases/formal.html#history FreeBSD 5.3 was released in 2004 according to https://www.freebsd.org/releases/5.3R/announce.html What that's trying to say is Solaris had these tools called pkill & pgrep. NetBSD made their own version of them which shipped in v1.6 and FreeBSD subsequently imported it for inclusion with v5.3. Do we need to keep this PR open any further? No reply received in quite a while, so I figure the issue is resolved. PR closed! |
