Seems like a good idea to me! Maintainer feedback? VIMAGE is already set as default; https://svnweb.freebsd.org/ports/head/emulators/virtualbox-ose-kmod/Makefile?view=markup#l44 |
Created attachment 178008 [details] new port virtualbox-ose-kmod with VIMAGE option set as default VIMAGE-enabled kernels need a patched VirtualBox kernel module. Building VirtualBox can take several hours. It'd be great if there was a pre-built VBox-kmod package for VIMAGE-enabled kernels. This port is just setting VIMAGE option so VIMAGE users can install VBox using "pkg install" and save time from building VBox on their own systems. Thanks, Nikos
