Bug 21582

Summary: rndcontrol -s 21 returns invalid argument.
Product: Base System Reporter: robert <robert>
Component: kernAssignee: Mark Murray <markm>
Status: Closed FIXED
Severity: Affects Only Me
Priority: Normal
Version: 4.1-STABLE
Hardware: Any
OS: Any

Description robert 2000-09-27 00:00:01 UTC
Both my disk controller and my network cards have interrupts of
20 or more. I cannot use rndcontrol, and as a result, I'm severely
entropy challenged.

Fix:

Its unclear to me as to whether the problem is in rndcontrol itself or
the kernel interface it uses. In any case, I'm loath to touch it for
fear of breaking things, or interfering with the inclusion of yarrow.
How-To-Repeat:
rndcontrol -s 21 (or some higher number)

Feature, not bug :-).

This is radically different in CURRENT, and will never change
in 4.* or earlier.
