Hi, it works now. One has to _enable_ the integrated 7899s or else the kernel will panic. It then installs with no real problems (just ages before the FCAL times out - it's not connected). For NT, the controllers (or the channels, to be precise) have to be _disabled_, so this is where the problem really started. Still, I'm not sure if a trap 12 is the right behaviour in this case.... thanks, Rainer ----------------------------------------------------------------- This mail was sent through IMP http://webmail.fh-konstanz.de/imp/ (http://web.horde.org/imp/) Responsible Changed From-To: freebsd-bugs->gibbs Over to ahc maintainer. I would not recommend using 4.1.1R if you have an Adaptec controller. Please try 4.1-stable or a 4.2 release candidate when one becomes available and let me know if your problems persist. -- Justin On Wed, 1 Nov 2000, Justin T. Thanks. As I had written in the follow-up, I got it working sometime later. cheers, Rainer -- ======================================== Rainer Duffner , Konstanz, Germany eMail: duffner@fh-konstanz.de rainer.duffner@surf24.de http://www-stud.fh-konstanz.de/duffner/ ======================================== State Changed From-To: open->closed Submitter has reported success in resolving their problem. |
