Description Bertram Scharpf 2017-09-22 14:35:04 UTC
In December 2015 I filed a problem report. It's number is 205604. It's about a real problem that is not very difficult to understand.

Until today, I have not received one single answer, neither postive nor negative.

Did the report arrive anywhere at all? Or is it just that you have to be a member of the autistic developer mishpoke to be noticed?

This ignorant behaviour is really offending. I'm fed up with this. Shame on you!

I apologise that that your issue has remained unaddressed for so long. FreeBSD is a volunteer project and that generally means that issues are addressed on a best-effort basis.

I have triaged the issue to classify it as well as possible given the information provided, and thank you for providing a patch.

The best thing a user can do (which you had already done) is add comments to their issue, letting developers know that it is still an issue in the latest versions.

Beyond that, and to get wider exposure, it is normally suggested to post on a relevant mailing lists, where people (particularly committers) who are interested in that topic can get involved.

Finally, while I understand that issues like this can be extremely frustrating, using offensive or derogatory language is inappropriate, and it was unfortunate to see in this instance.
