Hi！

We want to build a society to improve FreeBSD' development in China.

But the name for the society mustn't have English like "FreeBSD".

How can we translate "FreeBSD" in Chinese？

There doesn't exist a direct translation in Chinese for "FreeBSD" that is both unambiguous and widely-accepted, and none of us can (and will) come up with an official one. IMO the word "FreeBSD" should be used as it is. If you insist on translating it, you may choose a name that has broader meaning ("BSD" => "伯克利软件套件"), or come up with something by yourself which could be less recognized.
