patch to restore transparency

Hello,

I'd like to add a patch to restore the transparency background setting on gnome-terminal.
It is an extract from the patch used by Fedora.

I wasn't able to make it work with the full patch so I removed the parts linked to system notifications (had a problem with a VTE class definition, so I tried applying the patch for vte3 but then it didn't compile anymore)

Each Fedora version ships a different version of GNOME, so using the master branch isn't always correct. For GNOME Terminal 3.24, the correct branch is f26. Fedora master branch usually corresponds to the current unstable releases of GNOME.

vte3 port on FreeBSD is called vte291 on Fedora, so you should be able to find the correct version of VTE patches at:
https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/vte291/tree/f26
