This is likely a problem with the CUPS configuration for the printer being used. Created attachment 240736 [details]
Scan of envelope print results
If I start OpenOffice writer (built with the CUPS option, which is the default): Format -> Page -> Paper Format: DL Envelope Orientation: Landscape Margins: about 1/4" The envelope can be edited in a user-friendly orientation. I added the return and destination addresses. I don't have a DL envelope, so I loaded a sheet of letter size (8.5 x 11") paper into the printer, with the outline of a #10 (4 1/8 x 9 1/2") envelope fed narrow side first traced on it. I then printed my document to my Epson printer, with the Paper Properties set to: Paper Size: DL Orientation: Landscape The preview shows the text correctly positioned within the printable borders. If I had drawn a DL-size outline, the return address would have been closer to the upper left corner. |
