Description Shane 2018-06-15 04:33:06 UTC
In 19.6.1 of the handbook it says "vfs.zfs.arc_max...This value can only be adjusted at boot time..."

This tunable has been dynamically adjustable since Jul 2016 which applies to 10.4 and 11.x

base r302714 for stable/10 with stable/11 being available from initial creation.

vfs.zfs.arc_max, vfs.zfs.arc_min and vfs.zfs.arc_meta_limit can now be adjusted with sysctl(8) while vfs.zfs.vdev.cache.size is now the only(?) tunable left to set at boot time.

I thought I fixed that in January 2017, but it seems I never actually did it. Sorry.
