1. I make 2 floppy
2. Boot
3. System detect SCSI controller with correct IRQ and addr. (no DMA)
4. "Waiting 15 sec. for SCSI device to settle" - syst message
And system waiting it uncertain time

Fix: 

Hardware working fine with NetBSD, OpenBSD, Solaris 7,Linux 2.2.x
How-To-Repeat: constantly

It would be nice if you provided a bit of detail.
Like which model of Adaptec card you have, what SCSI
devices are connected etc.
