Description ZAJDAN - Zdenek Chládek 2018-10-06 10:28:17 UTC
As brand new novice I followed this handbook to configure PF firewal:
https://www.freebsd.org/doc/handbook/firewalls-pf.html

Despite I followed all, after reboot PF module was not loaded.
On community IRC channel I have got advice load the module via:
echo 'pf_load="YES"' >> /boot/loader.conf

Please add into the handbook information "how to permanently load the PF module"
Also will be helpful, put there information how to check out if the PF module has been loaded and so on.
For novices as me is very helpful get complex information.

Thank You
Regards ZAJDAN(CZ)

You shouldn't need to load the module. The pf startup script will do that for you.

What version were you using, and what problem did you fix by loading pf from the loader?
