Description Donald Burr 2000-12-04 09:20:04 UTC
The following ports, maintained by me, are either redundant or obsolete,
and should be removed.

databases/p5-ApacheDBI
Redundant; we already have a ports/www/p5-Apache-DBI that is the same
program. I did not know this when commiting the port. Oops. :(
audio/ripit-atapi
The functionality of this port has been incorporated into
ports/audio/ripit. This port is no longer necessary.
audio/x11amp
ports/audio/xmms contains the complete functionality of this port,
and then some. (plus it's open-source)

Fix:

Nuke 'em!!! :)

p5-ApacheDBI and ripit-atapi were removed. As for x11amp I'm not sure, because
last time when I proposed to nuke it several people popped up complaining
that xmms is too bloated and doesn't really have any advantages over x11amp for
those who just want to have a little mp3 player for x11.

In a message on the ports list (not sent to GNATS) the submitter wrote:

I'd like to amend my original pr and ask the Gods of the Ports Tree
to move the two ports databases/p5-ApacheDBILogConfig and
p5-ApacheDBILogger to the www category.

Repo copies are required.
