Are you able to provide a patch?
Comment 2 Kubilay Kocak freebsd_committer freebsd_triage 2018-12-19 02:35:39 UTC
Dependending on the nature of branch support and dependents, this probably needs to take the form of:

- A new graphics/opencv4 port, leaving graphics/opencv on 3.x, OR
- Move graphics/opencv to graphics/opencv3, then updating graphics/opencv to 4.x

Note: This port also needs a maintainer (currently unmaintained)

(In reply to Kubilay Kocak from comment #2)
Personally think be best to keep opencv as 3.x and make a new opencv4.
Reason I think this, is by the wording in the URL, seems 3.x will be supported, atleast as bugfixes and light features. 4.x series needs c++11 compiler, which will affect archs that doesn't have one, such as mips*

No, currently I am not able to.
Comment 5 Hiroo Ono 2019-03-26 04:45:23 UTC
I would like to try it. As a starting point, I am copying opencv (and its slave ports) to opencv3 and updating to opencv 3.4.5.
If somebody is already working on it, please let me know.
Comment 6 Hiroo Ono 2019-03-26 05:50:15 UTC
arnov is working on opencv 4.0.1 port.

Comment 7 Hiroo Ono 2019-04-15 16:30:32 UTC
The OpenCV 3 side (version 3.4.5) is done in bug #237135.
Changes to ports that depends on OpenCV remain to be done.
Comment 8 kunda 2019-07-19 01:13:26 UTC
4.1.0 current stable
Comment 9 Rodrigo Osorio freebsd_committer freebsd_triage 2019-08-22 10:46:32 UTC
I close this PR since no proper patch was provided, and we have no maintainer for this port.
