More information please: do you mean you cannot choose a Swedish keymap, or that you can but cannot enter any of åäö (and only those three)? Can you describe the exact set of steps you took to encounter this bug? Also, what is the proper key sequence for those three characters? I was wrong. Just tried typing cat in bash, and after that all the three letters åäö worked. When I quit typing input into cat, and try to type åäö into bash, nothing happens I tried changing shell to ksh (pdksh?), and ksh could write åäö (In reply to Per Gunnarsson from comment #2) In other words, the issue is that shells/bash is not accepting accented characters? Yes, the problem is that bash is not accepting accented characters. |
