Description oz42 2019-05-10 11:36:30 UTC
Please add a menu entry where one can select a wifi network.

I have installed 12.0-RELEASE on my Macbook 5,2 and was asked if I would like to get a DHCP address while in installer mode. But I was never asked to what wifi network it should connect.

Works for me. See "2.8.2. Configuring Network Interfaces"
https://www.freebsd.org/doc/handbook/bsdinstall-post.html

(In reply to Vladimir Botka from comment #1)
The handbook says:

"If a wireless network interface is chosen, the system will instead scan for wireless access points"

This is not true, so I had opened this bug report.

SHALL: installer should scan for wifi access points or installer should ask me for the wifi ssid
IS: installer asks if I want to configure IPv4 on my wifi interface

This appears to be a problem with the documentation.

Fixed in the new network chapter.
