On installing 12.1-BETA1 from USB memstick booting was stuck at auto loading of module if_bwn.ko each time. I have internal network device 'BCM4312 802.11b/g LP-PHY'. Same for upgraded from 11.3-REALEASE to 12.1-BETA3 system which failed to reboot at same point. Reboot which went fine after renaming of said module. I have encountered the same issue on a device with a BCM4312 Wireless Adapter. The device was left for around 30 minutes and was still frozen. Multiple reboots results in the same outcome every time. (In reply to Jacob from comment #2) To add what I failed to mention - this is on release 12.2. ^Triage: seems to not be specific to 12.1. It is working fine on r/11.4 and before. Not working for r/12.0 and r/13.0 . I'm having the same problem, works fine under 11.4, I upgraded to 13.0 and its getting stuck at loading if_bwn, even when I had installed the proper firmware files before rebooting. I have not found a way to boot it properly, so I guess I'm forced to do a 11.4 reinstall, which is at this moment, officially deprecated. |
